2009 CLIMATE ACTION CHAMPION AWARDS
The California Climate Action Registry invites members to nominate individuals and organizations who exemplify leadership and commitment to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Eligibility and Nomination:
Individuals, companies, academic institutions, government agencies and non-profit organizations are all eligible for nomination. Eligibility is not limited to California Registry members or affiliates. Self-nomination is allowed.
California Registry members, staff and board members are all eligible to participate in the nomination process.
Nominees should demonstrate one or more of the following criteria:
- Leadership that advances climate policy within a non-profit, academic institution, business or government
- Leadership that engages and shapes public response to climate change
- Action that has substantially reduced greenhouse gas emissions
Award Nomination Deadline:
The deadline for 2009 Climate Action Champion nominations is Friday, March 6. Your nomination must be emailed to Laura Zahn at laura@caclimateregistry.org by COB on this day.
Selection Process:
A committee of California Registry staff and members will review and select the award recipients.
Award Presentation:
The California Registry will present 2009 Climate Action Champion awards at the 2009 Navigating the American Carbon World conference, April 1-3 at the San Diego Marriott Hotel & Marina.
