Community Protocol
The California Climate Action Registry, the California Air Resources Board (ARB), and ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI) are partnering to develop a reporting protocol that allows local governments in California and across the United States to create consistent, policy-relevant and comparable inventories of the GHG emission sources from their communities.
This protocol, like the Local Government Operations Protocol that was developed by these partners in 2008, is to be developed through a transparent, stakeholder-driven process.
The protocol development process will begin shortly and is expected to conclude in Fall 2009.
